Applications for admission to our English language study programmes are considered once per year. The online application system ("Søknadsweb") opens in November.
Application deadlines for non-EU citizens, EU citizens and others
The application deadline for non-EU citizens is February 1st. Applicants to this deadline must pay an application fee of 500 NOK by the application deadline. You will get an answer to your application after March 15th.
The application deadline for non-EU citizens who hold a Bachelor's diploma from a Norwegian higher education institution or are expected to receive such a diploma at the end of the Spring semester of the same year is extended to June 1st. The online application for the June 1st deadline will open April 1st.
The deadline for citizens and holders of permanent residency in Norway and EU/EEA/Swiss/Nordic/English speaking Visa exempted countries (UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia) is June 1st.
Applicants for the June 1st deadline who do not meet the requirements above will not be considered.
Ranking of applicants
The qualified applicants will be ranked according to their academic level. For bachelor level, your high school level will be basis for the ranking in addition to higher education for countries with this as part of the admission requirement (e.g. Philippines). For master level, your bachelor degree will be basis for the ranking.

- The English study programmes begin early in August.
- Attandance for orientation week is mandatory for all new international students.
- MF does not take tuition fees.
- MF does not offer any scholarships or any other financial support.
- Non-EU applicants must document sufficient funding for living in Norway in order to get a study permit/visa.
