Online publication of master’s theses
When submitting your master's thesis student, you must either consent to or reject online publication of the master’s thesis in. If you concent, MF receives the right to publish the thesis free of charge.
MF will publish the thesis if it meets the grading requirement (C or better).
Theses are published in the Norwegian Research Information Repository (NVA).
Consenting to online publication does not prevent you from publishing an identical or revised version of the master’s thesis in other ways..
By consenting to online publication, you confirm that you have copyright to the thesis, including material like pictures/illustrations, or that you have confirmation from the licensees to use the material in the publication.
The published version of the master’s thesis will be identical to the version you have submitted, apart from that the candidate number on the front page will be replaced with your name. The thesis may be adjusted if it is necessary in order to make online publication possible.
MF is allowed to adjust the design of the thesis for use in newer versions of software. MF is also allowed to convert it to other formats in order to preserve the document (without changing the content). MF can not use the master’s thesis for financial gain.
The thesis can be referred to, linked to, quoted from, printed out and downloaded, within the perimeters of “Lov om opphavsrett til åndsverk m.v.” (Norwegian copyright law). If the author declines online publication, the thesis will only be available for loan on paper in the MF library
