Practical information
Examination deadline and examination meeting
The deadline for assessment can be found on the course page in WISEflow, and in the email sent from sensor@mf.no.
The internal assessor is responsible for making contact and scheduling the assessment meeting. If the assessment is delayed due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact the examination office as soon as possible (sensor@mf.no).
Grade justification
Begrunnelse på eksamen:
Students are entitled to a grade justification if they request it. For regular exams, it is usually the internal assessor who provides the justification (see exception for master's thesis below). The justification should explain the general principles underlying the assessment and the evaluation of the student's performance. Justifications are written in WISEflow (see "WISEflow User Guide").
Master's thesis justification:
The candidate shall receive written feedback on their master's thesis. It is the external assessor's responsibility to write the justification, possibly after consulting with the internal assessor. The justification should normally be concise (but more than 10 lines). It should include the final grade and highlight aspects of the thesis that were decisive in determining the grade. It is normally written in the same language as the master's thesis and does not need to be signed with a name ("external assessor, on behalf of the assessment commission" is sufficient).
The justification should be sent by email to sensor@mf.no within the assessment deadline. Examples of previously given justifications will be sent when the assessment period begins.
For most students, the assessment of their master's thesis is one of their last contacts with MF. We ask that this be taken into consideration when preparing the justification.
