The role of the Nordic Countries in understanding Dutch Lutheranism
Welcome to a guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Sabine Hiebsch, who will explore the influence of the Lutheran confessional states in Scandinavia on Lutheranism in the Netherlands, where this confession has represented a religious minority ever since the Protestant reformation.
Prof. Dr. Sabine Hiebsch holds the Kooiman-Boendermaker Chair for Luther Research and the History of (Dutch) Lutheranism at Theological University Kampen, the Netherlands. She is a Luther scholar, specialized in the history of the Lutherans in the composite Dutch religious and cultural landscape. In September, she is visiting MF within the frames of the European Commision's Erasmus+ Program.
The seminar is co-organized by "Historisk forskergruppe" and MF CASR.
Time: Tuesday 18 September 1315-1500. Venue: MF, room 417.
All are welcome!
