Eviane Leidig is a researcher affiliated with the INTERSECT (Intersecting Flows of Islamophobia) project at MF. Her research specializes on the far right, gender, and online radicalization, recruitment, and propaganda. Her regional expertise includes transnational connections between India, North America, and Europe.
Leidig holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Oslo. During her PhD, she was visiting scholar at the University of Oxford and New York University.
An outward facing researcher, Leidig regularly contributes to international media outlets and consults for policy makers and civil society organisations. She is also an affiliate at the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo, Head of Policy at the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right (CARR), and an Associate Fellow at the Global Network on Extremism & Technology (GNET).
