What is the situation for Christian minorities in Myanmar?

MF Norwegian School of Theology is happy to invite you to an open seminar with Professor Samuel Ngun Ling, President of Myanmar Institute of Theology (MiT).
Professor Ling will address problems and challenges for Christian minorities in Myanmar. The situation has for long been difficult, particularly in ethnic minority states.
Has the situation improved after Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s electoral victory in 2015, and how is the situation for minority Christians in Myanmar today?
Dr. Ling is the author of several books and research articles, including The Meeting of Christianity and Buddhism in Burma (2017) and Buddhist and Christian Attitudes to Religious Diversity (2017, co-editor with Grosshaus & Schmidt-Leukel).
