Revitalization and promotion of cultural patrimony of minorities from Oltenia in the context of cultural diversity

MF Norwegian School of Theology is in cooperation with two Romanian academic institutions,  participating in a EEA- research project. The project is coordinated by The University of Craiova, Romania. MF Norwegian School of Theology and ”Constantin Brăiloiu” Institute of Ethnography and Folklore of the Romanian Academy, participates as partners. The Project Kick-Off was December 2014,  and seminars and research activities will last until November 2015. Participants from MF will be Prof Gunnar Heiene and Dr Solvor Mjøberg Lauritzen.

The full title of the project is "Revitalization and Promotion of the Oltenia Minorities - Cultural Heritage in the Context of Cultural Diversity”. The main objectives are to raise awareness about cultural diversity, to promote cultural history of the minorities in the Oltenia region to the general public, to strengthen intercultural dialogue, and to consolidate bilateral relations (between Romania and Norway) at institutional level, with focus on exchange of good practices in the field of culture.
